The packages above just not doing it for you? Please contact me for a custom quote – thanks!
How does this work?
After you select the package you’re interested in, please click the ‘buy now’ button to be directed to PayPal to pay the first half of the package price. Immediately after paying, you will be redirected to our online design questionnaire. Please complete this questionnaire as it gives us an overview of what you envision for your site (and other items), of the functionality you need, and your personal preferences. We will then review this information in detail and follow up with you within 24 hours to discuss your needs and answer and questions you might have. You will be kept involved in the design process from start to finish. The remainder of the balance is due after your design is complete, but prior to bringing it live on your domain.
What is all that stuff up there in the comparison chart?
I thought you’d never ask
I’d much rather be clear up front what each item entails, so that not only do you understand the value you’re getting, but also that we minimize any potential misunderstandings.
Customized WordPress Theme
Your package includes your choice of premium WordPress theme, which can be selected from www.themeforest.com, www.elegantthemes.com, www.ithemes.com, or I can use the ever-popular Thesis Theme (http://diythemes.com/). Your selected WordPress theme will serve as the base for the design, upon which I will customize according to your needs and preferences. If you have no idea what theme you want to use – that’s OK! I can work with you to help you select a theme that has the right balance of looks and functions that you’ll need.
Professional Logo Design
All packages include a professional logo design, which includes all the formats you’d ever need for both print and web use. Based on the answers to the logo items on the questionnaire, 6 concepts will be created for you. From there, you will pick the one you like best and request tweaks and refinement as needed until you’re happy with the final concept.
Integrated Blog
I will integrate a blog to your website which will allow your visitors to get to know you better, an it will also help with your SEO efforts
Your blog will be implemented and your sidebar(s) set up, but you will need to add your own content (aka blog posts).
1 Year of Hosting
One year of hosting is included in all plans. I do not supply domains, because honestly, that should be something you purchase so that you are in control over it – but I can walk you through the process to make it very painless. After the first year, small businesses will be charged hosting at $35/year. Photographers, Graphic Designers, or those for one reason or another have a ton of large pictures, streaming videos, and other heavy bandwidth items, will be charged $65/year for hosting. If you’re not sure what category your site would fall in, please contact me and provide a brief description of your site, and I’d be happy to let you know.
RSS Feed Set Up
This is really only applicable is you have a blog. A RSS feed allows your visitors the convenience of signing up to receive updates of your blog via email or through their RSS reader/software. It’s a great way to increase your blog following and to keep your site in front of those who were interested enough to sign up.
Page Setup
Depending on the package you select, you have the setup of 8-20 pages included in your package. This includes all the formatting, inserting of pictures, etc. that you’ll need for those pages. If you need more or less pages, please contact me for a custom quote.
Google Analytics Integration
If you ask me, Google Analytics is a MUST for every website. It provides you with a wealth of statics about your site’s traffic – how many hits you had each day, where they came from, where they reside, what keyword(s) they used to find you, what browser they use… all sorts of stuff. I can point you in the direction of where to sign up for this (which is free), and after you sign up, please provide me with the code that I can integrate it with your website. No worries if this confuses you, I can walk you through it.
Contact Forms
It’s always a good idea to have a contact form on your website. It provides a convenience to your visitors that they can send you a message right there, so they don’t have to open their email program, and you’ll get less spam by using a contact form than posting your email (though it’s OK to do both… I do!). I will create a custom contact form for you, so that you can gather all the information you need from the visitor.
Plugin Installation and Configuration
Simply put, WordPress plugins rock. They can add almost unlimited functionality to your site – such as forums, social media integration, shopping carts, polls… all sorts of stuff. Depending on the package you select, you can choose anywhere from 5-15 plugins to have installed and configured.
Technical Support
I don’t close up shop when I’m done with your design. I know you’re going to have questions and that’s great – I love helping people out when they are learning the WordPress platform and depending on your package, you have 30-90 days of technical support included. Technical support is included for general questions or little problems that pop up, or if you are having a hard time figuring something out and need some direction. It is not, however, buyer’s remorse. It’s not a ‘do-over’ or a mulligan. If I had to compare it to something, it would be most like an “Oops” or a “How the hell do I do this?”. I do always keep your original files so if something majore ever happens I can revert it back to ’showroom quality’ (the way it looked when I launched it), but I also strongly recommend to occassionally backup your files if you do a lot of content editing or blogging. I can show you how to do this
Social Media Integration
This is for adding social media icons to your website, to allow your website visitors to easily connect with you on the various networking sites such as facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc. Your twitter feed, facebook badge, and other items can also be added if you wish.
Newsletter Signup
It’s always important to build your list – whether you are a service provider, sell products, or even if you’re strictly a blogger and only make money through ads and sponsorships. I will integrate a form to your website to allow people to sign up for your list. You will need an account at one of the many websites that offer this service. I highly recommend MailChimp for those just starting out, because it’s free for up to 500 subscribers, but Aweber, ConstantContact, and 1ShoppingCart are also very good.
Favicon
A favicon is the little icon that you see at the very top left of your browser window in the title bar. It’s also shown in your favorites as well. All design packages include a custom favicon to futher help brand your site.
Newsletter Design
A custom HTML newsletter design is included in the Rampin’ it Up and Takin’ it to the Limit packages. It will be branded and will consist of a sample layout, with all necessary headings you require. If available through your service, I will also upload it as a template on your account for your convenience.
Twitter Background
The Rampin’ it Up and Takin’ it to the Limit packages also include s customized twitter background. Your background image will be created with the details you need if to contain, as well as be design in such a way that is helps to strengthen and promote your brand.
Email Signature
The Rampin’ it Up and Takin’ it to the Limit packages both come with a custom email signature, which can consist of graphics and text. You will likely want to include links to your website, your blog, your social media accounts. You may also consider adding your IM user names, a graphic of your actual signature, and your company’s logo (or other brand identifying feature).
Twitter Account and Profile Creation
Included in the Takin’ it to the Limit package only, we will not only design your custom twitter background, but we will also create your twitter account and profile so all you need to do is log in and create connections!
Autoresponder Design & Setup (up to 5 messages)
This is again only included in the Rampin’ it Up package and was specifically included for those that want their list building on auto-pilot. Upon being provided with your user name and password, we will go into your autoresponder/newsletter service and create a branded autoresponder design, as well as customize your confirmation message, welcome message, and up to 3 additional follow-up messages (for a total of 5 messages).
Facebook Fan/Biz Page Creation
I don’t care if facebook changed the name – I still call them fan pages. For our Rampin’ it Up clients, we will create your facebook fanpage, customize the look and feel (add your logo and other graphics, and integrate your newsletter signup, and link your blog and YouTube account. Of course, when we’re done we’ll also invite you to become administrator
Business Card, Letterhead and Envelope Design
After your logo is finalized, Rampin’ it Up clients will also receive business card, letterhead, and envelope designs. We can also provide seperate quotes to get these items printed, but either way you’ll be emailed the final files to use any way you need.
