Hi there! I’m Hilary, founder of A Virtual Edge. I support busy entrepreneurs, bloggers, speakers and coaches with all sorts of time-consuming tasks, such as Internet marketing, website and blog maintenance, customer service, social media, and other administrative functions (learn more about my VA services). I’ve been a VA since 2001 and love every minute of it because it has given me the opportunity to wear many different hats.

I’ve remotely managed three locations of a mobile day spa, revamped client websites, followed up on hundreds of client sales leads, integrated numerous affiliate programs and shopping carts, set up more autoresponders and sent out more newsletters than I can count… and the list goes on and on. Once I even did a prank call for a client… not that I make this a regular practice  If you’d like, you can hear from my happy clients.

When I was a kid, I was notorious for my ‘get rich quick’ business ideas, so I think it’s only natural that as an adult my passion is in being an entrepreneur… even if I have to be more realistic. I’ve come a long way from selling my grandfather’s vegetables on the side of the road or from creating my, albeit hand-drawn, catalog of kid-crafted jewelry, but I’m still that same little kid that has a vision and goes for it.

Professional life aside, I am mother to three beautiful young ladies who never cease to amaze me daily… although, let’s be real here – those of you with kids know this amazement isn’t always a good thing They are my mini-me’s and have taken over where I left off, peddling ‘Pokemon Smoothies’ for $99 and wanting to open a Power Puff Girl’s store where no boys are allowed. I’m also married to a great guy who doesn’t get on my case too much if the dishes start stacking up or if the laundry pile resembles a mountain range. Together as a family we enjoy camping in our home state of New Hampshire and every year we hope to do more of it! As for me, I love to cook, read, listen to music, learn anything new, and yes, I do enjoy working… most of the time.
